A Sweet Tour of Fremantle

Fremantle is a wonderfully walkable city, making it perfect for a self-guided dessert tour. Lace up your walking shoes and bring your appetite — here's our route for a sweet tour of Freo.

Stop 1: Fremantle Markets (Start Here)

Begin your tour at the historic Fremantle Markets. This is where you'll find Muffle, serving freshly baked bubble waffles. Pick up your first treat — we recommend the Biscoff waffle or a matcha soft-serve cone to get you started.

Stop 2: The Cappuccino Strip

Walk down South Terrace, aka the Cappuccino Strip. This is Fremantle's cafe heart, with plenty of spots for a coffee and a pastry. The street itself is beautiful, lined with historic buildings and street art.

Stop 3: Kings Square

A short walk north takes you to Kings Square, the historic centre of Fremantle. The recently revitalised square is a great spot to sit and enjoy your treats.

Stop 4: The West End

Fremantle's West End is a treasure trove of historic buildings, boutique shops, and small cafes. It's the most historic part of Fremantle and a lovely area for a wander.

Stop 5: Bathers Beach

Walk down to Bathers Beach for a ocean-side breather. The beach is small and sheltered, perfect for a moment of relaxation with any remaining treats.

Stop 6: Fishing Boat Harbour

Continue along the waterfront to Fishing Boat Harbour. This is a great spot for a seafood lunch or — if you've still got room — more dessert.

Back to the Markets: One More Treat

If you've still got room (and you should make room), head back to Fremantle Markets for one final Muffle treat. A thick shake is the perfect way to end your sweet tour — try the caramel or coffee flavour.
